Kaizen Concussion Program is our flagship program designed to closely monitor patients over a period of time to understand the trends and progression of their TBI to create individualized treatments and detect early signs of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).

What is the science?

TBI can range in severity from mild to severe, based on the length of changes in consciousness, brain bleeding, and other neurological symptoms. The most common form of TBI is mild, also known as a concussion, which typically results in symptoms such as headache, vision changes, and dizziness lasting for 10-14 days. We call this a neurological event, which usually resolves with minimal intervention.

However, in about 40% of people, initial symptoms persist and may evolve to include mood and cognitive difficulties. This is referred to as Post Concussive Syndrome (PCS) and requires more focused interventions for prolonged symptom management. If left untreated, PCS can have a significant impact on day-to-day functionality and may result in disability.

Additionally, TBI is a risk factor for developing progressive neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and CTE, which can lead to the loss of brain cells over time. Our TBI Monitoring Program was created to closely follow patients at risk of these disorders and detect early signs of their development.

We use cutting-edge neuroimaging protocols with our imaging partners and blood tests that can monitor brain inflammation (neuroinflammation), abnormal proteins that may indicate damage to brain cells (neurons), screening for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)

We offer a broad range of innovative treatments, including personalized transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), which has been our niche, and have learned to combine different treatments.

Tracking symptoms and trends
We use our platform to monitor concussion symptoms, which helps us to develop personalized care plans. Patient have reported that they feel empowered as they can track their progress.

Kaizen Accelerated TMS (KATMS): Transcranial Magnetic
Stimulation (TMS)
, a non-invasive treatment that involves targeting
specific areas in the brain affected by concussion.

  • Neurofeedback: Non-invasive computer-based treatment that measures brain waves and provides individuals with real-time feedback to help with self-regulation skills.
