Melody Diep, Program Manager
Melody Diep earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego (UCSD). While at UCSD, she conducted cancer and immunology research at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology and served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for lower- and upper-division Biology courses. After graduating, she lived in Los Angeles (her home town) for two years, working with individuals from all backgrounds at a family medicine practice as well as in the Emergency, Pulmonary, and Radiology Departments at Adventist Health Glendale Hospital. She returned to sunny San Diego to continue nurturing her passion for teaching and caring for others.
Melody’s work as Program Manager at Kaizen Brain Center integrates several of the aspects of medicine that drive her desire to pursue a medical degree in the near future: compassionately advocating for individuals and their overall well-being, using innovative technologies to aid in the healing process, and most importantly, building meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
True to her name, Melody loves to sing and play various instruments, including piano, ukulele, and violin, and enjoys jam sessions with her friends. She is passionate about staying active through weight training and running, basking in nature, exploring new sights, cuisines, and activities, and tending to her houseplants.
