WHAT IS NEURAL STIMULATION?

 

Neural stimulation, or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), is a non-invasive, proven treatment tool used to alleviate brain disorder symptoms such as depression and anxiety, migraines, impulsiveness, and fuzzy thinking.

TMS is FDA-Approved for treatment-resistant depression and CE-Approved for Alzheimer’s disease, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, chronic pain, Parkinson’s disease, PTSD, Schizophrenia, and smoking cessation.

How It Works

TMS is non-invasive. A treatment coil is placed against the head, where it emits short bursts of electromagnetic currents to targeted regions of the brain. The TMS magnetic field, which is similar to that produced by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, alters neural activity to establish a new normal.

Neuroplasticity, the brain’s remarkable ability to rebuild and expand neural connections, allows neural stimulation to strengthen networks disrupted by traumatic injury or neurodegenerative disorders.

Traditional Targeting vs The Kaizen Approach 

Traditionally, TMS treatment targets were chosen by estimating the location of the motor cortex and stimulating a point 5 cm toward the front of the skull. Years of experience led Kaizen specialists to create new protocols and use advanced biotechnologies to move beyond the traditional targeting method and improve treatment accuracy.
